Aisling Bea

Aisling B a was born on 16 March 1984 in Kildare Ireland. The comedian appeared on QI together with Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984), better known as Aisling Bea is a popular Irish comedian and actress from Ireland. Bea started appearing as a part-time actress in Irish or British TV shows in 2009, began her career as an stand-up comic in 2011. Following 2012, she was being featured in sketch comedy programs as well as sitcoms and similar programming. Following her win in the Edinburgh Comedy Awards she began to be booked regularly for numerous panel shows for which she has become a fixture. She was a captain of the 8 Out of 10 Cats team between 2016 and 2017 and is regularly a contestant on the spinoff 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. She is the daughter of Brian as well as Helen O'Sullivan. Sinead, her sister, was also born. She was the winner of the So You think You're Funny Award for the second time. Bea, her maiden name, was a tribute to her dad who died in the year 2000. Aisling Cliodhnadh, born the 16th of March, 1984, in Kildare Town in County Kildare. Bea's father Brian, an equine vet who was killed after Bea reached the age of three, was a suicide victim. Bea was informed of his passing at thirteen years of age. The stage name she chose was Bea to honor her father who passed away. Bea also published a 2017 article in The Guardian on her family's suicide experience. Bea (and her sister Sinead) was raised in a home by Helen Moloney, a teacher and jockey trainer who was also a professional jockey. The family was racing and horse-related. Bea was initially tourist guides for the Irish National Stud. But she realized her true passion was performing and not racing.
