Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is a Romanian actor and TV host. She is best known for her role as the lead in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. She was the sole child of Romanian actors Valentin Platareu, Alexandra started her professional career in the show business at an early age. When she turned 16, Alexandra had landed prominent roles in a variety of TV dramas. After her critically acclaimed role in the TV film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went on to play other noteworthy roles such as Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge as well as the secretary of Adolf Hitler in Downfall. Downfall received nominations for an Oscar and was a critical as well as commercial great success. The Reader is another Oscar nominated film that features this stunning actress. Alexandra has been involved in numerous notable national and international projects through the years. These include British biographical films Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and French historic miniseries Napoleon among others. In addition, she has been an adjudicator at the Transylvania International Film Festival as and the Cannes Film Festival.
